Glassine envelopes are made out of pure pine wood cellulose which is 100% recyclable. The glassine is transparent, anti-static, chlorine and acid-free and does not contain chemical softeners.
Glassine paper is a pure cellulose paper and a product which is produced sustainably. The main raw material is cellulose and is obtained from modern forrest industry and is subject to strict controls and requirements.
The transparency and fat density of the paper are achieved by mechanical treatment. The glassine paper is certified technically free of chlorine and acid, it does not contain any waste paper and is food-safe.
In addition, the glassine paper complies with the European requirements for packaging materials. It is tasteless and odorless, has no closed, but a highly compressed surface and therefore good air permeable. In addition, the glassine is recyclable and compostable.
