For many years, the enthusiastic philatelist August Lindner thought about how stamps could be placed on a preprinted page without a glued stamp hinges. He was bothered by the fact that the stamps are no longer in their original condition due to the stamp hinges. On New Year‘s Eve 1946 he found the final solution for this problem and after founding the Lindner company in 1947 the world‘s first hingeless (falzlos) preprinted album was created. The new name „FALZLOS“, founded and characterized by August Lindner, found its way into the language of stamps-collectors from this point on and revolutionized the philatelic branch. The LINDNER hingeless album was the basis for the worldwide success story of the LINDNER company with its products „Made in Schömberg“. With the LINDNER T-System, Walter Lindner succeeded in further developing the falzlos-album in 1972, which is still in use today. It is popular as a pre-printed or t-blank system with collectors all over the world.
